From as early as I can remember, I’ve been driven by two passions: the natural world and the art of clear communication. My academic journey began with studying Zoology and Botany, and soon I found myself equally drawn to singing and music theory. Before long, I added qualifications in Business Administration and Public Relations to my toolkit. Over the next three decades, I partnered with corporate brands, advertising agencies and non-profits, uncovering each client’s unique story and translating it into marketing strategies and business-writing projects that achieved measurable results. As a trainer, I’ve led workshops on everything from event management best practices to harnessing artificial intelligence in communications—always with the same goal: equipping others to excel.

A Creative Pivot to Passion Projects

When I chose to step back into semi-retirement, it wasn’t to slow down but to redirect my energy toward the creative ventures closest to my heart. On stage, I perform as a contralto and oversee concert production, transforming musical visions into unforgettable live experiences. Behind the camera, I capture compelling portraits and sweeping landscapes as a photographer, finding stories in moments both grand and intimate. My journey through breast-cancer survivorship led me to motivational speaking, where I share honest, uplifting talks that help audiences find strength in vulnerability. And in quieter moments, I volunteer with the South African Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre—nurturing injured birds back to health and rejoicing with each successful release into the wild.
